Christina Barnes is a native Californian with a passion for horses and music. Her background in the world of both western and English performance horse industries and her time spent on ranches and training stables gives her insight into the not-so glamorous but ever-so-rewarding western lifestyle. Her music gives a voice to horses, the people that love them and a lifestyle that comes with day-to-day simple pleasures, hardships, triumphs and humor.

Her self-titled EP is collection of songs that delves into matters of horses and the heart with deeply relatable lyrics that are backed by emotive melodies and a classic country sound. They include a range of mixes and instruments including twin fiddles, cello, mandolin and pedal steel in addition to stripped-down tracks with acoustic guitar picking and vocals that tell a real story.

Christina gigs locally on California’s Central Coast and enjoys singing and playing at brandings, gatherings and other intimate venues. Her repertoire includes original music and covers of folk, country and the occasional pop song. Often accompanied by her friend and guitar guru Steve Ochoa, she is available for parties, weddings, entertaining at wineries and restaurants, house concerts, holiday celebrations and performing our National Anthem a cappella.
